SANParks Honorary Rangers

SANParks Honorary Rangers is a group of passionate and unpaid volunteers who give freely of their time and skills to support conservation in South Africa's national parks - and to raise funds in support of SANParks.  Every cent raised by SANParks Honorary Rangers is guaranteed to reach its target and is spent on only necessary items, identified by SANParks through a Wish List system.

There are more than 1 600 Honorary Rangers who support and serve in South Africa's 21 national parks, including the Kruger National Park. Honorary Rangers also educate and make the general public aware of the environment and the importance of conservation.

During 2016, SANParks Honorary Rangers increased its overall contribution to SANParks, measured in funding provided and work done by members, to R57,2m - up from R48,1m in 2015.
